History
The cemetery was initially a military area. During the German occupation during World War II, the cemetery allegedly served as a place of numerous executions of Poles and Jews. In autumn 1944, it was used as a burial ground. At that time, mainly military and civilian victims of the Warsaw Uprising were being buried there. Formally, the cemetery was put into use in late autumn 1944 as a result of the efforts of the local parish priest Bronisław Piórkowski. The cemetery is surrounded by a concrete wall and has the shape of an irregular rectangle. [source: Wikipedia, 2283284]
