History
It was established in September 1833, seven years after the establishment of the Lutheran parish in Radom. It was created on the land donated to the parish by a certain Szmidta. In 1834 the cemetery was surrounded by a moat and planted with trees. In 1839, the entry was paved. In the years 1857-1858, it was fenced with a wall that was consecrated in 1860. At the same time, the cemetery area was slightly enlarged. In the 1880s, the cemetery wall was renovated. In 1893, the house of the grave-digger was built on land bought from a man called Bogacki. In 1902, Ewa Reich funded a bell, which was hung at the entrance gate. In the years 1902-1904, the spatial arrangement of the cemetery and the cemetery stands were arranged. In 1915, during the deportation of residents of German origin into the Russian Empire, a local margin devastated the cemetery, breaking into the graves. During World War I, 112 Lutheran soldiers serving in the German and Austro-Hungarian armies were buried in the cemetery. In 1926, a church service was celebrated on the occasion of the centenary's jubilee. In 1934, the wall surrounding the cemetery was raised. No further information about the history of the cemetery during World War II. In 1977 an inventory of the cemetery was carried out. In 1981, organized theft of tombstones, and a year later, on May 3, 1982, the cemetery was entered into the register of monuments. In 2004 the demolition of the gravedigger's house was started as unfit for renovation. In 2005, the cemetery wall was renovated and the stand was re-ordered. In 2007 or 2008, a re-inventory was made. The layout and condition of the cemetery
The irregularly shaped cemetery is divided into small quarters, in which there are several, several graves. Such an arrangement dates back to the 1850s. The cemetery is preserved in quite good condition. Thanks to the ordination campaigns organized by the parish since the 1980s, in which volunteers from Poland and abroad took part, and thanks to taking care of the cemetery by the students of the Radom School of Economics, inspired by the teacher Bożena Ziętek, the necropolis is clean and orderly. There are currently 269 graves in the cemetery, 81 of which are completely destroyed. The gravestones in the cemetery were made by craftsmen from Radom, but also by factories from Warsaw and Lublin. The tombstones were made of sandstone, cast iron, granite and other materials. [source: Wikipedia, 691922]
